Jack Maher was the first ever draft pick of Nashville SC ahead of it’s inaugural season in 2020.

Maher was selected 2nd overall in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft, marking him in history and potentially securing the Nashville backline for years to come.

So far, so good.

The young defender has seen his playtime steadily increase each season. That growth saw Maher step into a starting role alongside Walker Zimmerman in 2023 and he has shown his quality in the increased role.

In 2021 the Illinois native made 18 starts and had 20 appearances in MLS. Maher played 1538 minutes for Gary Smith’s side which was a huge increase off of the 127 minutes he had played in his draft season. He also scored his first MLS goal and added an assist.

The Nashville defender wore this jersey during the 2021 season.

It has some solid signs of wear with a few picks/pulls and a sweat stain from the outline of the badge that has bled through to the back of the shirt.

These “acoustic blue” secondary shirts were introduced in 2021 and known as the “Vibe II.”

The kits feature a contrasting sublimated “N” that is subtly visible throughout the shirt. They also had electric gold accents and featured a soundwave on the back of the neck which represented a recorded message from The Backline Supporters Collective saying “Nashville’s Blue and Gold.”

The lower left hem has the state of Tennessee in electric gold. The right hem features adidas’ tagging for 2021/2022.

The club wore Hyundai sponsorship patches on the right sleeve and an MLS patch in blue and gold on the left.
