German-Sudanese midfielder Hany Mukhtar wore this shirt during Nashville SC’s inaugural season in MLS.

Mukhtar joined the new club as their first designated player signing in August of 2019.

Mukhtar had scored 24 goals in 106 appearances at Brøndby IF of the Danish first division prior to beginning the 2020 season with Nashville.

His first season in Major League Soccer didn’t start out the greatest. He didn’t score his first goal until his 10th match, which was all the way in September against Atlanta United. At that point, he had just two assists two his name. It’s not a stretch to say this is hardly the return you want in an investment in a designated player.

In early September, he gave an interview where he acknowledged his own struggles and said, “I will do everything I can do to do my best and to get there, where I see me and where the other people see me.”

Shortly after that, the floodgates began to open.

In his final 10 matches in 2020, Mukhtar had 5 goals and an assist as he helped lead Nashville SC to the Eastern Conference quarterfinals of the MLS playoffs.

Hany Mukhtar’s secondary match worn jersey has minimal signs of wear. There’s no snags and only a small amount of pilling.

The shirt has both the MLS 25th anniversary patch, as well as the Hyundai sleeve sponsorship patch which distinguishes it from retail authentics (they did not have the sponsorship on the sleeve). It has the inaugural season three-stars symbol sublimated just above the lower left hem.

Hany Mukhtar signed the shirt on the numbers and it was sold by Fanatics.

It’s fair to say Mukhtar grew into his role as a star for Nashville.

After back-to-back incredible seasons, he was named the Landon Donovan MLS MVP in 2022.
